ED WARDEN'S SHOTS FROM CONNETQUOT TRIP 2007

This little boy came to the net with a size 20 copper john stuck in his lip. Check the size of the net in comparison to the fish, it was not a good fit but big enough. A quick estimate of length before releasing was approximately 27”-29” I have a 9” hand spread (thumb to tip of little finger. With my little finger touching the front kipe on the lower lip and my thumb just covered the edge of the gill plate You can take it from that point….I’m inclined to think if you wanted to try, you could insert you fist into its mouth.

Every one on the adventure caught lots of fish with most being in the 12" to 20" range on the average. Several double hook ups on 2 nymph rigs, lot of fun bring them to the net and one fish caught with a strike indicator - NO HOOK! The fish were hungry and attacked almost every thing in the water.
